In addition to obtaining the UPC mark, several Federal, State and local jurisdictions have requirements that certain plumbing products must comply with. Manufacturers may not be aware of the requirements of these jurisdictions or how to obtain testing and certification in order to comply with these requirements.
IAPMO R&T Lab reports are accepted by the United States Department of Energy (DOE), California Energy Commission (CEC), Commonwealth of Massachusetts, City of Los Angeles, States of Michigan and Wisconsin and will act as a liaison between manufacturers and these agencies. This may include testing to their requirements,preparation of submittal packages, as well as follow-up with the various agencies until certification/listing is granted.
